Kicking off Fall Fashion... Mid-August?
It’s been a while since I’ve been posting on my blog. I’ve been traveling to my hometown to plan my wedding…. SO EXCITING! Now that we’ve booked our wedding venue, I want to dive right back into blogging. I am going to start doing #RoseFashionFridays and #RoseMusicMondays on my instagram- but since this is the first week of both- I might as well do them both on the same day. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, I’ve attached a playlist of all the songs I’ve been jamming out to this past week.
On the fashion side of things, I have been wondering if mid-August is too early to start prepping fall outfits… but then I realized NOPE… summer outfits are getting so repetitive anyways. I honestly think that fall might be the only time I truly care about fashion... I’ve always loved the fall because my favorite colors are everywhere! I love having shades of oranges, browns, reds, oranges, and maroon in my wardrobe and I feel like these colors really come alive Late-August through November.
I remember when I was a teenager, it was mid-August that I’d break out the flannels & combat boots to go out with friends as the nights became cooler. This transitional time into Autumn is a fun time - I can pair my favorite fall staples like boots or a beanie with summer staples such as shorts & a t-shirt.
For this week’s outfit, I paired my favorite boots & a cute warm toned beanie with a band tee & vintage mom shorts that I thrifted. I included these lace biker shorts under the jean shorts to give the look a unique accent piece that is sexy, edgy, and fun! I would say this look has a retro/skater vibe and is super cozy/casual; perfect to wear to a concert or a night out with your friends!
